The PUL is major contribution to the State’s ongoing efforts to address severe challenges, unique to Lagos, due to rising urbanisation. The PUL aims to drive the development of the sanitation sector in the State, by way of implementing advanced technologies, funding physical infrastructure and services, helping create stable and complementary assets.
The Lagos State Environmental Trust Fund (LSETF) is a fund made up of the PUL which will be meticulously managed by a Board of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulated trustees. This is to ensure the judicious use of the resources, in order to meet the State’s sustainability goals. Funds will be used for urban planning and design, roads, improving transportation systems, water services, and comprehensive integrated waste management services.
